Privacy Policy

KujOne Applications is operated by John Kujawa, Sole Proprietor, Texas, United States. This policy explains how information associated with purchases, licensing, activation, support and use of our website is handled.
Information We May Collect
We may receive a customer's name, email address, purchase information, license and activation information, and information voluntarily supplied for support. Payment transactions are handled by an authorized payment provider or merchant of record. KujOne Applications does not intend to directly collect or store complete payment-card information.
Family Information and Media
GENERATIONS is designed to store family profiles, photographs, biographies, relationships, Living Memories, music, documents and other family-history content locally on the customer's computer. This family collection is not automatically uploaded to KujOne Applications. Customers may voluntarily provide files or information when requesting support.
Purchases, Licensing and Use of Information
We may use customer information to process purchases; provide downloads, licenses and activation; deliver maintenance updates; provide support; prevent fraud or misuse; maintain required business records; comply with law; and improve our products and services.
Email
We may send transactional or service messages relating to purchases, licensing, activation, updates or support. We will not send promotional or marketing email unless the customer has separately and affirmatively opted in. Customers may opt out of promotional communications.
Website, Cookies and Service Providers
Our website and service providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site. Necessary cookies may be used. If optional analytics or similar technologies are introduced, this policy will be updated as appropriate. We may use providers for hosting, email, payment processing, licensing, distribution and security.
Retention and Security
Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, business records, dispute resolution and legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children's Privacy
KujOne Applications does not knowingly solicit purchases or personal information directly from children under 13. Adults may store information about children within their own locally maintained family collections.
Your Choices
Customers may contact us regarding personal information, privacy questions, or rights available under applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy as our products, services or legal requirements change. Updated versions will identify their effective date.

Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern the KujOne Applications website and purchases of GENERATIONS — Eight Generation Edition. KujOne Applications is operated by John Kujawa, Sole Proprietor, Texas, United States. By purchasing GENERATIONS, the customer also agrees to the applicable Software License Agreement, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
Product and Pricing
GENERATIONS is locally installed desktop family-history software. The current price is $39.95 USD as a one-time purchase. There is no recurring subscription for the purchased GENERATIONS 3.x license. Applicable taxes, currency conversion or other checkout amounts will be shown by the payment provider where applicable.
Payment and Electronic Delivery
Payments may be processed by an authorized third-party payment provider or merchant of record, which may handle billing, tax, fraud prevention and transaction processing. A purchase is complete when confirmed by the payment provider. Software, license information and related purchase materials are delivered electronically. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address.
Software License and Activation
The purchase provides a perpetual personal-use license for GENERATIONS 3.x on up to two personally owned computers, subject to the EULA. Initial Internet access is required for activation. After activation, GENERATIONS is designed for normal offline operation. GENERATIONS 3.x maintenance updates are included; future major versions may be offered separately.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, including the 14-calendar-day satisfaction period. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.
Customer Data and Family Collections
Customers retain ownership and responsibility for family information, photographs, biographies, recordings, documents and other content placed into GENERATIONS. KujOne Applications does not claim ownership of a customer's family-history collection. GENERATIONS stores the collection locally and does not require it to be uploaded to KujOne Applications. Backup and Restore functionality allows customers to create backup copies; customers are responsible for maintaining backups and are encouraged to keep at least one backup on separate storage.
Customer Content and Acceptable Use
Customers are responsible for having appropriate rights or permission for content they use. GENERATIONS may not be unlawfully copied, redistributed, sold, sublicensed, rented or commercially exploited except as permitted by the EULA, applicable law or an applicable third-party/open-source license.
Intellectual Property and Third-Party Components
KujOne-owned software, branding, original graphics and documentation remain protected intellectual property. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses and ownership.
Support, Availability and Compatibility
Support may cover installation, activation, licensing, Backup and Restore, updates, downloads and product operation. KujOne Applications does not guarantee recovery of permanently lost data without a usable backup or indefinite compatibility with future operating systems, hardware or third-party technologies.
Warranty and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, products and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee error-free operation or compatibility with every configuration. Where liability may lawfully be limited, aggregate liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the applicable product. Non-excludable consumer protections remain unaffected.
Changes, Governing Law and Severability
These Terms may be updated with a new effective date. Changes will not retroactively remove a valid perpetual GENERATIONS 3.x license except where required by law or mutually agreed. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.

Refund Policy
Version 1.0 — Approved for Integration
Effective Date: Commercial Launch Date
Customers may request a refund for GENERATIONS within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date if they are not satisfied with the software. A customer does not need to demonstrate that the software is defective to request a refund during this period.
Requesting a Refund
Email sales@kujoneapplications.com with enough information to identify the purchase, such as the purchaser's name and purchase email address. Do not send payment-card numbers, passwords or other sensitive financial information by email.
License After Refund
When a refund is issued, the associated GENERATIONS license will be revoked and will no longer be valid for new installations or activations. Because GENERATIONS is designed to operate offline after activation, revocation may not technically disable a previously activated copy that remains offline. After a refund, however, the customer's license to use GENERATIONS ends and the customer agrees to discontinue use and uninstall the refunded software.
Family Data
A refund does not transfer ownership of the customer's family information or media to KujOne Applications. Customers should preserve or export information they wish to retain before uninstalling GENERATIONS and should maintain appropriate backups.
Processing and Requests After 14 Days
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method or payment-processing system. Posting time may depend on the payment provider or financial institution. After 14 calendar days, refund requests may be considered where a significant technical problem prevents reasonable use and cannot be resolved through support. Duplicate charges and verified billing errors may be corrected independently of the standard satisfaction period.
Payment Provider and Legal Rights
Refund processing may also be subject to the procedures of the authorized payment provider or merchant of record. This policy does not limit refund, warranty or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

GENERATIONS Software License Agreement (EULA)
Version 1.0 — Approved for Integration
Effective Date: Commercial Launch Date
By purchasing, installing, activating or using GENERATIONS — Eight Generation Edition, the customer agrees to this EULA. KujOne Applications is operated by John Kujawa, Sole Proprietor, Texas, United States.
License Grant and Duration
KujOne Applications grants the customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the purchased GENERATIONS 3.x product family on up to two personally owned computers. The software is licensed, not sold. The license does not expire and does not require a recurring subscription.
Activation and Offline Operation
Internet access is required for initial activation. Activation information may be used to verify a valid license and activation limit. After successful activation, GENERATIONS is intended to operate normally without a continuing Internet connection. Customers may contact Support for legitimate activation issues involving replaced, lost, damaged or unavailable computers.
Updates
GENERATIONS 3.x maintenance updates released by KujOne Applications are included. No particular future update or feature is guaranteed. A future major release such as GENERATIONS 4.x may be offered separately, and declining such an upgrade does not terminate a valid 3.x license.
Family Collections and Backups
Customers retain ownership of family information and personal content placed into GENERATIONS. The collection is designed to remain locally stored and is not automatically uploaded to KujOne Applications. Customers are responsible for regular backups and are encouraged to keep a backup on storage separate from the computer's primary storage.
Permitted Use
Customers may use GENERATIONS for personal family-history and genealogy activities and may create, print, export, preserve and share family-history materials produced from their own collection, subject to applicable third-party rights.
Restrictions
Except where permitted by law, this EULA or an applicable third-party/open-source license, customers may not sell, rent, sublicense or commercially redistribute GENERATIONS or the license; distribute unauthorized copies; use another person's license key without authorization; intentionally defeat activation controls; or represent KujOne Applications software as their own product.
Open-Source and Third-Party Software
Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses and copyright notices. If an applicable third-party/open-source license conflicts with a restriction in this EULA concerning that component, that component's license controls. Nothing in this EULA is intended to prohibit modification, replacement, reverse engineering, relinking or other activities where an applicable open-source license expressly permits them. Applicable notices are provided with the GENERATIONS distribution.
Refunds and Revocation
If a purchase is refunded, the associated license may be revoked and will no longer be valid for new installations or activations. Because GENERATIONS operates offline after activation, revocation may not technically disable a previously activated offline copy. Once refunded, the customer's license ends and the customer agrees to discontinue use and uninstall the software. The customer's family information and media remain the customer's property.
Support, Compatibility, Warranty and Liability
Support may cover installation, activation, licensing, Backup and Restore, updates, downloads and operation. A perpetual license does not guarantee indefinite compatibility with future systems or hardware. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GENERATIONS is provided “as is” and “as available.” Where liability may lawfully be limited, aggregate liability relating to the license will not exceed the amount paid for it. Non-excludable consumer protections remain unaffected.
Termination and Governing Law
The EULA remains in effect for the perpetual license unless terminated through refund or material violation of its terms. Termination does not transfer ownership of customer family content. The EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
Entire Agreement
This EULA works together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and applicable checkout terms. For conflicts specifically concerning the scope or permitted use of the GENERATIONS license, this EULA controls except where applicable law or a third-party/open-source license provides otherwise.
